BOO!!!! Surprised you Betty!!!!
Well, finally took the plunge and set up a blog for my creations! and what better way to start the blog than with a Halloween Hop for the wonderful Betty Roberts!
Morning/Afternoon/Evening
all - well this has been a long time coming and its finally here - Now
as you know there are a number of us around blogland that LOVE Simply B Stamps - but here in the UK Halloween is not something many people get
into - so we have decided to do a special hop for the one and only Betty
to show her that over here we are trying!!!
So welcome to the hop!
So glad your here!! Now if you have come from Anita's your on the right
tracks - if not you need to pop back to Corinne's blog and start from
the beginning!! I would like to say a big thanks to Katrina Benton for coming up with the idea to throw a big surprise Betty's way! Can't wait to see what she says !! x
I decided to make some Trick or Treat bags for my kids, they were inspired by the lovely Corinne Jones.
I followed a tutorial that Trudie Howard had on her blog using Iron on Transfer Paper. It is really easy to do and gives a lovely effect. I used small cotton tote bags that I got from Ebay. You can find the tutorial here .
The spooky background digi stamp is from MIC . MIC and Betty teamed up a little while back and produced some digi's between them that pair up brilliantly. Betty did the characters and MIC the backgrounds.
I finished the bags off by adding a strip of cardboard covered in paper and glued with book binding glue and some ric rac along the card and then added various ribbons to the bottoms of the handles. Hope you like them, I'm really pleased with how they have turned out!
Here is Christopher's bag.
And here is Charlotte's bag!
They are AMAZING! Well done on getting your blog set up too! Looking forward to visiting lots more! x
